Pioneer Drive Kitchen Remodel

Vogel Home Improvement provides a wide array of remodeling in Anchorage and surrounding areas, and this kitchen remodeling project completed for a great client was pure delight to watch the transformation as the project progressed. Built in the mid-1970s, this kitchen was a product of its time, walled off from the living and dining room preventing my client from enjoying her guests during meal preparation. As my client enjoys entertaining, opening up the space to the rest of the living area was desperately needed and desired. Fixtures and accouterments were dated and the lighting inefficient with the typical center fixture casting shadows over the counter top work area. The final project opened up and brightened the room by creating a pass through within the wall between the kitchen and dining room, installed extended soffits containing recessed lighting that shines down on work areas where its needed, and completely modernized everything with new porcelain tile throughout, backsplash, cabinetry, countertop, and stainless steel fixtures and appliances. I even installed a “solatube” sky light where the old center light fixture/fan was, adding an inviting soft glow inside the kitchen during daylight hours. My client added her own personalized touch by finishing the soffits with her own special sponge faux painting design.
