Complete Upstairs Remodel on Apollo Dr in Anchorage, AK 99504
My Apollo Dr. client invited me back to remodel the remainder of her upstairs living area with this great project. I had remodeled her kitchen earlier in the year. This is an early 1970s tri-level home located in a beautiful Anchorage neighborhood and just the kind of project I enjoy in my business as Vogel Home Improvement.
My client had great ideas and I brought to them my experience and suggestions. The result was a complete transformation of her living, dining areas, and three bedrooms from outdated lighting and dark paneling into light and airy spaces brightened by new recessed LED lighting set on electronic dimmer switches that can be operated by remote control from the comfort of an easy chair.
I began the project by removing outdated "popcorn ceiling". Leaving no original sheetrock surfaces unperfected including new rounded corners, I applied new "orange peel" texture to ceiling and walls throughout, primed, and painted. I updated the fireplace area by removing the original faux rock, replacing it with marble tile, complete with new hearth, and mantel. I transformed the adjacent "firewood nook" into a recessed LED lighted display area, also set on a dimmer. New electrical switches and outlets throughout, I completed everything with crown molding that offers a perfect elegant touch.
